Houston personality runs across Texas.

Cox Media country "93Q" KKBQ morning host Kevin Kline is running 481 miles from Dallas to Houston, by way of Austin and San Antonio.  The 13-day trek called "Strides Across Texas" aims to raise $500,000 for pediatric cancer patients.  Kline, 40, has been training for months, doing daily 40 mile runs.

“Everything about the run is designed to symbolically and metaphorically mirror the experience of pediatric cancer patients,” Kline tells the Houston Chronicle. “The isolation, the monotony of treatments, the lying in bed, the throwing up, just watching TV.”
