Chrysler adds in-car Wi-Fi.

Terrestrial radio may still be the king of the road, but the in-car list of options continues to grow.  Chrysler announces the 2010 Connected Dodge Caravan will offer internet, live television and online gaming join radio as in-car “infotainment” options.  The system will be showcased at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show from February 12-21.

The multitude of features, each carrying an additional charge and monthly subscription fee, includes up to 20 channels of live TV through FLO TV, Sirius Satellite Radio and Backseat TV, and Uconnect Web, which combines Wi-Fi and 3G cellular connectivity to bring the internet into the vehicle for email, online gaming, personalized music and other features.

The vehicle’s Media Center can be operated via voice recognition controls and includes a 30-gigabyte hard drive.  Features showcased in the minivan are available for order today, the carmaker says.
