Cumulus blitzes dial for 49ers.

With interest in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game at a fever pitch, Cumulus Media says it plans to simulcast the San Francisco 49ers-New York Giants game on all six of its Bay Area stations including flagships sports KNBR and classic rock “The Bone” KSAN (107.7). The cluster’s program directors say it seems like logical move.

"This is the biggest 49ers game in 10 years, and ensure that the broadcast will be heard by as many fans as possible, the Cumulus program directors got together and decided to air the game on all of our Bay Area stations,” ops manager Lee Hammer says.

Team director of broadcasting Bob Sargent says they’re thrilled with the promotion.  “We are unaware of any NFL team that has had this kind of support from its radio partner,” he says.
